Day-1 OctPoWriMo-2017 (Prompt-How Did I get Here)
It flows
As one breathe
Through generations
Building foundations
In the dynamic cells.
Slowly crawl,
Invisible bonds
From the ancestral chasm
Carrying the original seed
With different shades.
How can one define
The roots and branches?
Spread across ligaments
Tempering once in a while
In the psyche of a man?
We carry so many wounds
Within ourselves
Inherited from the forbearers
A schizophrenic bloodline.
It flows
As one breathe
Through generations
Building foundations
In the dynamic cells.
Slowly crawl,
Invisible bonds
From the ancestral chasm
Carrying the original seed
With different shades.
How can one define
The roots and branches?
Spread across ligaments
Tempering once in a while
In the psyche of a man?
We carry so many wounds
Within ourselves
Inherited from the forbearers
A schizophrenic bloodline.
Ah Sunita, I enjoyed reading this poem. I could see everything flowing from one gyration to the next. Well done.
ReplyDeletePeace,
Morgan
Generation not gyration. Autocorrect is so annoying.
