Nudging the silent hours

Every sound is voiceless

Masking the ghosts of darkness

Poetry has taken over

The dark hours of loneliness

Yearning flames of desires

Eavesdrop in the verses

Veering towards a chasm

Eating away the soul

Night and its shadows are mine

I am jostling in the whirlwind

Noiselessly and tired

Grieving myself to sleep.

Life sparkles hope in a poet's pen

When the heart is seduced by every season

Days and nights align with the poet's sighs

Weaving words in rebellious whispers,

The battle cry resonates against the walls

Where is the freedom to touch the sky!

To breathe deeply and to let the soul fly!

Caged in a broken body, a poet seeks solace

Inking paeans to quench the infidel heart.
