Time to Understand Life

 Sunday Muse-163

Soft pedaling silence

moves on the tips of  fingers

joy dances on the strings.

The pain vanishes

in melodious tunes

life a parable.

Long forgotten times

yearningly swirl in the eyes

life in the crisis.

Healing through music

brings more joy without people

silence speaks louder.

  6. They stand as a whole or as a series of senryu. I appreciate the thoughtfulness you put into each. The first one is my favorite.

  8. Nice Senryū quartet, Sunita. It told a story nicely, I'll grab the last fine line. "silence speaks louder" but I prefer music, voices, and nature's sounds.
I like your header photo, those small ferries carry a lot of traffic. Back, way back, when I rode a motor cycle, like the one on our right, they worked really well. We were directed to pull up and wait until no more cars would fit, then we would be beckoned to bring the bike along. Not every rider knew that.

    2. Jim, for me music is to ward of the unwanted noises which trouble my mental peace. Yes, these ferries still ply in my home town in Goa. The river Zuari flows in my village. Have many fond memories of the ferries when we travelled on bikes and boarded those ferries to go to the mainland.

    3. I see the name, "Zuari", on the ferries. When we visited Goa we spent a morning cruising the Zuari River Backwater. Things were sooo pretty there, Goa is a nice town to visit.

Love this Sunita! It beautifully describes the graceful hand movements
to the strains of the music. One can almost see it in front of the eyes.
