NaPoWriMo-2024
Day-3
Prompt: To write a surreal poem.
He sits on the platform. Bubbolous eyes larger than its oranged, star-sprinkled body. Hardly, a few inches in length and acts as if he owns the world. Little, tiny webbed feet tiptoe over the rice morsel searching for its prey. The flies are unaware of the predator, who lurks, in the shadows of the kitchen sink. Tiny beings are gobbled up with a smacking tongue in between. The orange shell of the body bloats with prey and the predator gloats over its conquest. A cajoled "Good morning Chotu" is acknowledged with a rotation of the black orbs bigger than its head. A Google search makes me feel like a minuscule drop in the ocean in the period of its existence. For millions of years, it walked on this earth. I am just a speck of grain in the order of chronology. Respect it deserves, the larger-than-life dwarf.
