Prompt: A challenge to write without consulting the book- a poem that recounts the plot or some portion of the plot, of a novel that you remember having liked but that you haven't read in a long time.
There were too many barriers
Imposed by the social giants
Her heart was split in two
The desires ached in the pit.
The indecisive moment
To want all of him or nothing
She walked through the haze
Missing the odour of the milieu.
The metallic cacophony
Bellowing through the screen
Noises, sharp and distant
Couldn't stop her from her fate
She took the plunge into the smoky air
Crushing her broken heart into nothingness!
