Dark Night of the Soul

Day-1 OctPoWriMo-2019
Prompt: Dark Night of the Soul
Form: Free Verse

                                                                      Image: Sunita Prasad

A silent prayer

A little hope

On a whorl spins

When pitched darkness

Touches the lonely nights

The dirge of solitude

Sets the soul on fire

Moments of hopeless chaos

Suppress layers of dreams

A chain of thoughts

Swirl and swirl and swirl

Reawakening a thirst

To embrace, to feel and to hope

As life is a miracle

And I breathe!
