Rest in Peace

Day-20 NaPoWriMo-2019/ A to Z Challenge-2019

Prompt: To write a poem that "talks"

Good Morning!

Why did you get up so early?

"Exams" and she plops on the chair.

Opens her books and look at him

Still sleepy-eyed, trying to concentrate

He looks at her with a glint in his eyes.

She half asleep on her books. He chuckles

Hey sleepy head, wake up!

She slowly lifts her head.

"Can I make some black tea?"

"Would you like to have some"

Of course, that would be really nice!

They both drink the black tea

He gets back to what he was reading

She buries herself in her notes.

Did you pack you tiffin box?

"Not necessary"

Good luck! All the best for your exams!

"Thanks"

Bye!

Those last words still echo.
