Day-18 NaPoWriMo-2020
Prompt: Life's small pleasures.
Prompt: Life's small pleasures.
A tiny being
Taught a lesson
To a busy mankind
To stop, to breathe
To understand
The ways of nature.
Locked in the house
Search for small pleasures
In the whiff of fragrant flowers
In the smile of a little child
A few moments of family time
In the company of voiceless ones
Life hides many treasures
In the smallest things
I find my joy
In the tiny garden
In the morning
Breathing deeply
In their fragrance
A profusion of myriad hues
Greets me in abundance.
A few days back ago
While sipping my tea
A cuckoo
Tucked among the trees
Filled my heart with such joy
With its sweet voice.
Limitless joy!

DeleteCongrats on being featured! Well deserved. Your poetry and photos of warm weather and flowers and reminders of what is REALLY important bring joy--especially to us in the Mountain West of the U.S. who are just thawing out from months of snow.
ReplyDeleteLeenie, thank you very much for the appreciation. The joys are around us, it is just that we ignore them in our busy schedule . Hope you find your warmth in the coming summers :)
