Day-1 NaPoWriMo-2020
Prompt: Write a self-portrait poem in which you make a specific action a metaphor for your life.
Feverish resentment,
Travels in the heart,
As the evening,
Waves goodbye.
Darkness is not mine,
It evokes pain,
Sleeping ghost finds,
Shelter in the dimmed blinds.
A wrecking silence,
Fills the soul,
And the reflection,
Shy in self loathe.
The self-doubts,
Hinge on waiting,
For hopeful dawn,
On a ria of knitted brows.
"I" submerge "Myself",
On a plinth of kindness,
Weaving in straight lines,
The misshapen metaphors.
