The jugglers juggled at the polling booth. Some moved around with an air of confidence. Some whispered softly, the sign language of jaded dreams. There was an aura of juxtaposed determination among the milieu. The future looked predictable as the jesters crowded around crowing justified promises.
The old woman beside me, on a wheelchair, had hope dancing in her eyes. Her resolve in the sweltering heat mobilized many others who complained about the unjust way that things were done. The lengthy queue couldn't stop the forces of a common man. The wheels of change were put into action.
Some wise men joked about the candidates, who have pollinated too many hands and flowers. The wisecrack jokes in between helped to tolerate the ordeal and cast the vote in the jostling breath of humanity.
The indelible ink pronounced democracy as a birthright. Justice won't be denied or delayed when the power is vested in the people.
